Los Sólidos Platónicos tienen un significado simbólico pero también místico y cósmico y se remontan a los primeros estadios de la civilización, existiendo pruebas fehacientes de que ya eran conocidos por los pueblos neolíticos y también por las primeras culturas europeas.

Cada sólido platónico se asocia a distintas cualidades de energía o materia y están descritos desde la antigüedad y recuperados por todas las culturas:

• Tetraedro=fuego
• Cubo=tierra
• Octaedro=aire
• Icosaedro=agua
• Dodecaedro=éter o madera

Platón quien estudio la geometría de estos sólidos y pudo asignarles características metafísicas, así:

• El Tetraedro es el símbolo de la sabiduría y la manifestación, (elemento fuego y asociado con el Chakra del Plexo Solar).
• El Cubo o Hexaedro es el símbolo de la conexión con la vida y la naturaleza, (elemento tierra asociado con el Chakra Raíz).
• El Octaedro es el símbolo de la integración y perfección de la materia (elemento aire asociado al Chakra Cardíaco).
• El Icosaedro es el símbolo de la transformación, de la forma del universo, del poder masculino, (elemento agua asociado con el segundo Chakra llamado Esplénico)
• El Dodecaedro es el símbolo de la ascensión, poder femenino, creación (elemento Ether asociado con los chacras superiores).

The Platonic Solids have a symbolic but also mystical and cosmic meaning and date back to the first stages of civilization, there being reliable evidence that they were already known by the Neolithic peoples and also by the first European cultures.

Each Platonic solid is associated with different qualities of energy or matter and have been described since ancient times and recovered by all cultures:

Tetrahedron=Fire

Cube=Earth

Octahedron=Air

Icosahedron=Water

Dodecahedron = Ether 

Plato who studied the geometry of these solids and was able to assign metaphysical characteristics to them, thus: The Tetrahedron is the symbol of wisdom and manifestation, (fire element and associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra). The Cube or Hexahedron is the symbol of the connection with life and nature, (earth element associated with the Root Chakra). The Octahedron is the symbol of the integration and perfection of matter (air element associated with the Cardiac Chakra). The Icosahedron is the symbol of transformation, of the shape of the universe, of masculine power, (water element associated with the second Chakra called Splenic) The Dodecahedron is the symbol of ascension, feminine power, creation (Ether element associated with the upper chakras).
